OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Jodi Claycomb

Jodi grew up surrounded by military family members. Her grandfather piloted a P-51 Mustang in World War II, while her father served in the United States Army Reserves. At the age of 15, she met her father-in-law, who served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Jodi's husband made an early decision to pursue a military career, inspired by his father's footsteps. He enlisted in the United States Navy during his senior year of high school, departing for boot camp shortly after graduation. Completing boot camp and A-school at the Great Lakes Naval base, Glenn and Jodi exchanged vows in December of that year, both at the young ages of 18 and 19. Following his training, Glenn was assigned to the U.S. Hunley, stationed in Norfolk, VA.

As a military spouse, Jodi swiftly grasped the significance of the sacrifices her husband had embraced. Witnessing the emotional reunions at the naval base, where servicemen and women met their newborn children after six-month deployments, underscored the profound sacrifices made by military families for the country.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute, Jodi is honored to serve on the board, offering her support to veterans and their families. She recognizes the immeasurable sacrifices made by these remarkable individuals and is dedicated to giving back to those who have served their nation selflessly.

Gary Grant

Gary moved to Fort Wayne, IN in 1959 with his family, and attended Southside High School, were he met the love of his life, Marj Long. Marj and Gary were married in December, 1964 and enjoyed 59 years of marriage before her passing in 2023. Together they have two children, seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Gary worked as a machinist, before joining the Fort Wayne Police Department in 1970. He served in the patrol division, vice and narcotics, the K-9 Division, and robbery homicide, until his retirement in 1990. Gary then joined the Public Safety division of the Fort Wayne International Airport. Gary served as a Captain of the Police and Fire unit, helping secure the civilian and military aircraft, and providing fire protection on the F-16 fighter jets. Gary served the Fort Wayne International Airport for twenty years before his retirement in 2010.

While serving at the Fort Wayne International Airport, Gary also held the elected position of Township trustee for Lafayette township. He served in that capacity for eight years. He handled the townships financial assistance program, helping the needy residences of Lafayette township. His responsibilities included taxation of property, which included the General Motors plant.

Gary attends the First Presbyterian Church in Huntington, Indiana, where he serves as an Elder, chairperson for the personal committee, and chairperson for the buildings and grounds of the church.

Gary is very proud to have a son serving as a Chief Deputy of the Allen County Sheriff's Department, a grandson serving in the U.S Coast Guard, and a granddaughter that has served four years in the United States Navy.

He is honored to serve on the Renos for Summit City Heroes Board of Directors and will do his very best exceed expectations.

Todd Frye

Todd is a former Infantry Officer and platoon leader who served in the US Army in peacetime in the mid-1980s after graduation from Purdue, where he met and married his wife of 36 years, Sherri. He injured his leg in a training accident on active duty, and is a honorably discharged veteran with a service-connected disability rating from the VA of 20%. The right knee was worse after surgery, and when the Berlin wall fell in 1989, the Army said “thanks, and now go see the VA man!”

Todd has seen the good that can come from what man has meant for bad, for those who are called to His Higher Purpose. He joins Glenn and Jodi with a heart for the Lord, and for those less fortunate who need a hand up, not a hand out. One of his passions is helping as a volunteer on a nonprofit builder group known as the Mississippi Nail Benders (MNBs). These men, some traveling thousands of miles a year with the families, partner with Christian churches around the US who are building or expanding their facilities. The power of many people, from age 10 to 85, coming together with the local Church body is a real force multiplier in the hands of these men, who have built everything from sojourner cabins in a rural parish to a 20,000 square foot Sanctuary in suburban Indianapolis, such as New Palestine Bible Church.

Todd has worked 27 years in the Federal government, the last 14 as a Supervisory Branch Chief at US Customs and Border Protection in Indianapolis. As a board member, he pledges to bring a keen business sense and strong organizational and communications skills to the work of the Foundation. It will provide great fulfillment to come along side our brother and sister vets who could benefit from the work we intend to do through the Board, that we may magnify the name of the Lord and reflect His will and fruits of His Spirit in this amazing new way.

Alan Lucht

Alan served four years in the Navy where he was the Blue Team ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) Supervisor and was overall responsible for the tracking and coordination of the SONAR contacts, Anti-Submarine Rockets (ASROC), torpedo fire-control, and the bridge. He is also a Viet Nam veteran. After active duty, he was a member of the Navy Reserves for over eighteen years. At the reserve center, his duties included keeping abreast with his skills in ASW and he also was the Readiness Unit Career Counselor for approximately 180 men and women to advance, keep their job skills up, and to make sure they would go on their two weeks active duty. In addition, he was the Divisional Mustering Petty Officer. On active duty he was assigned to Fleet Tactical Deception Group Atlantic, Norfolk Virginia.

Alan is married to Jennifer and they have four children and eleven grandchildren. He earned his Bachelors in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and after 25 years retired from Zimmer Orthopedics. Alan and Jennifer attend Christ Covenant Church.

Alan has had a willingness to help others by being a part of World Compassion Network and doing volunteer work onsite during Hurricane Sandy, the Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes, and the flooding in New Orleans. Alan was also a member of the Warsaw Optimist Club which is an organization for the youth of the community.

He looks forward to helping those veterans in a Christ like manner who need a lending hand and to work alongside with those of a like mind.
